About me

Your financial future
starts with a conversation.

For over 30 years, finance has been part of my professional journey — and for the past decade I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of families better understand their financial options.

Whether you want to protect your family, build wealth, plan for retirement, or simply learn more about your finances, I’m here to help and educate. Because I’m independent, I’m not required to sell one company’s product. I compare what’s available across my carriers and recommend the policy that genuinely fits — occasionally that’s less coverage than you came in expecting to buy.

Most people arrive knowing they need “life insurance” and leave understanding something more useful: which years of their life are actually exposed, and what it costs to close each gap. I’ll explain the exclusions before you sign, review your policy as your life changes, and stay on the file if a claim is ever made.

Rise together. Grow together. Retire together.
Because happy families build a happier Canada.

Experienced

Over 30 years in finance and licensed in insurance since 2016 — enough years to know which carriers treat which situations well.

Compassionate

My background is in accounts and finance, so I start by understanding your numbers and your situation — not by opening with a product.

Commitment

I’m here for the long run, to support you as your life changes — new home, new child, new job, or a claim.

Personalized

I commit to personalized insurance solutions built around what you’re actually protecting.

Coverages

Six ways to cover a life

The bar under each card is the same lifetime you saw above — showing where that policy actually pays. Most households end up using two of these together.

Permanent Insurance

Coverage that stays in force for your whole life rather than expiring on a date. Premiums are higher than term, but the payout is guaranteed to arrive eventually — which is what makes it useful for estate and tax planning.

Whole Life Insurance

A permanent policy with a level premium that never rises and a cash value that grows on a guaranteed schedule. You can borrow against that value later, which is why it often doubles as a long-horizon savings vehicle.

Term Insurance

The most coverage per dollar, for a fixed window — usually 10, 20 or 30 years. Built to cover the years you'd leave the biggest hole: a mortgage, dependent children, or an income the household still relies on.

Accident & Sickness Insurance

Replaces part of your income while an injury or illness keeps you off work, then stops once you're back. It covers the interruptions life insurance never touches — the months you survive but can't earn.

Critical Illness Insurance

One tax-free lump sum on diagnosis of a covered condition — commonly cancer, heart attack or stroke. There are no rules on how you spend it: treatment abroad, a mortgage payout, or replacing a partner's income while they care for you.

Funeral Insurance

A smaller policy sized to final expenses — the service, burial or cremation, and the bills that arrive with them. It pays quickly and usually accepts applicants that larger policies decline.

Testimonials

What clients say

A few words from people Eric has placed coverage for.

Eric took the time to walk us through term versus whole life until it actually made sense. We never felt pushed toward the more expensive option.

Dr. Swapna
Client

I have a health history that made me nervous about applying. Eric knew which insurer would look at it fairly, and I was approved at a rate I did not expect.

Miguel
Client

He still checks in every year. When our second child arrived he adjusted the policy the same week instead of waiting for a renewal notice.

FAQ

Questions worth asking

No. Quotes are free and carry no obligation, and you can start one online. I'm paid by the carrier when a policy is issued, which means you get the same premium going through me as you would going direct — with the comparison work done for you.

It depends on what you're covering. Term buys the most protection per dollar for a defined window, which suits a mortgage or the years your children are dependent. Whole life costs more but never expires and accumulates cash value, which suits estate planning or a permanent obligation. Plenty of households hold both.

Yes, and most people should. Life insurance pays your family after you die; critical illness and accident & sickness pay you while you're alive but unable to earn. They cover different risks, so pairing them is normal rather than excessive.

Not to get a quote. Whether the policy itself requires one depends on the carrier, your age and the coverage amount — some issue smaller policies on answers alone. I'll tell you which options avoid an exam before you apply.

Carriers assess conditions very differently, and this is where an independent agent earns their keep. A history that one insurer rates heavily may be accepted at standard rates by another. Tell me the full picture and I'll place your file where it's treated best.

Call me first. I identify what the carrier needs, help gather the documentation, submit it, and follow up until the claim is settled — so your family isn't learning the process during the worst week of their life.
